| Q. How do I request a donation from the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation? |

| Q. How much time is needed to process my request? |
| A. Requests are reviewed on a weekly basis and responses are sent in writing to the organization. We must receive your request by mail at least three weeks prior to the event or deadline. Please allow additional time for our committee to review major events. We prefer a 3 month lead time at the minimum for a major event. |
| Q. How do I know if my organization qualifies to receive a donation from the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation? |
A. Please review the guidelines below to determine if your organization is eligible for assistance from the Foundation:- You must be registered as a 501(c)(3) organization. Proof of 501(c)(3) status must be submitted with your request. The 501(c)(3) letter states:
- "We have determined you are exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c)(3)."
- All Virginia non-profit organizations (with the exception of schools, churches or military groups) must be registered with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as required by the Virginia Solicitation of Contributions Law, Virginia Code Section 57-48 et seq. in order to receive donations from the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation.
- All North Carolina non-profit organizations must be registered with the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of the State as required by the Charitable Solicitation Licensing Section in order to receive donations from the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation.

| Q. Can I request a donation by fax, email or from my local Farm Fresh store? |
| A. No. Donation requests will not be accepted by fax or email. All donation requests must come to the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation by mail. Donations are not reviewed at store level. It is preferred that you do not leave your donation request at store level. It is your responsibility to mail the donation request to the address listed. We cannot be responsible for letters left at our stores. |
| Q. Can the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation donate food items for your organization's special event? |
| A. No. Donations from the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation are issued in the form of a check payable to the non-profit organization. Due to IRS regulations, the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation is prohibited from donating in the form of food products or Farm Fresh gift certificates. |
| Q. Can Farm Fresh Supermarkets donate food items for a special event? |
| A. Farm Fresh partners with different organizations from time to time with sponsorships of food. Requests for must be submitted at least 2-3 months in advance. |
| Q. Does Farm Fresh Supermarkets sponsor festivals or other types of events? |
| A. Sponsorships of festivals are limited. Send your request to the Post Office Box and we will review your request with our Marketing Department to see if it fits our objectives. |
| Q. Does the Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation sponsor individuals for trips, pageants, etc.? Will the Foundation sponsor fraternal or political campaigns? Will the Foundation assist individuals who need financial assistance? |
A. No. The Farm Fresh Charitable Foundation has been established to support non-profit organizations that support humanitarian causes. Donations are not issued to the following:- Individuals requesting donations for beauty pageants, racecar sponsorships, trips, etc.
- Individuals with catastrophic health or financial needs
- Third parties soliciting on behalf of a charity already supported by the FFCF
- Organizations that spend 20% or more of their income on fundraising costs
- Fraternal, political or labor organizations
- Courtesy advertising in programs, parties or benefit performances
- National Health Campaigns that do not have a local presence or program in Farm Fresh's marketing area
- Out of market/out of state/out of country requests for funding
- Social outings
- For profit organizations and non profit organizations requesting donations for associate incentives
